Las Takes Home 2016 John Dommett Award

The Performing Arts Conservatory sends their congratulations to Lasarus (Las) Ratuere.

Born in Adelaide, Las grew up in Brisbane, Australia, graduating from The Performing Arts Conservatory in 2012. Since graduating Las has had an impressive number of credits. His many stage credits include Jasper JonesKill the Messenger, and Opera Australia’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Las graced Australian screens in the world war epic The Digger. And made his American television debut in the Steven Spielberg/20th Century Fox sci-fi Terra Nova.

From there Las progressed on as Malcolm Mabo in the social and politically motivated biopic drama Mabo. Additionally, he co-starred in the comedy feature film The Mule opposite Noni Hazlehurst. He has also starred as a lead character in the hugely successful award winning series Ready For This on ABC3. Moreover, he is set to be a series regular in the hugely anticipated season 2 of Cleverman. This is in addition to HBO’s mystery drama, The Leftovers.

[bs_lead]In 2017, Lasarus will make his American film debut in Rupert Sanders Ghost in the Shell. A Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks sci-fi thriller, the film also stars Scarlett Johansson, Juliette Binoche, and Michael Pitt.[/bs_lead]
